#RiskRejection: My Risk in One Photo

Today starts a series called Risk Rejection
In Risk Rejection, a group of us committed to share about a risk we are taking. Risks can be big or small, but risks must make you want to squirm and sweat all at the same time. We are posting about our risks in photos, words, and who knows, you may even find yourself a video.
The rules? Be brave and encourage others.

That’s pretty much all I have to say.

And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom. ~Anais Nin #RiskRejection

The brave participants.

Should you care to join us and get in on this risk fest, we’d love to have you. We are linking up every Thursday in the month of January, and chatting it up in our FB group as well.

Oh wow. You go, girl–that’s AWESOME!!!

  • I love this so very much.

  • Oh, wow. Amy. I never knew this was on your heart. I am so excited and nervous for you all at the same time. But you, I think, will make an amazing foster mom. I think the very essence of your spirit will touch a child deeply.

  • this is so amazing! you will be an amazing foster mother. <3

  • WOW!! That’s so exciting, Amy. I can’t wait to hear more about this as you take each step! What a beautiful risk to take 😉

  • Wow, how awesome Amy! You will be great as foster mom :). And by the way we may not be friends any longer after this series. Kidding…I think ;).

  • So exciting!! Thank you for sharing this risk with us, Amy. I will be praying for you! Love you, girl.
Btw, for some reason I had a hard time uploading a photo so your getting what it was willing to let me do. The faces of others who linked up are so pretty. Mine will look a little funny. Oh well.

Oh Ames. So risky. SO awesome. What a great God you follow, who is leading you to such exciting places!

  • Oh my gosh — I can’t wait to hear more about fostering. Girl, you make my heart swell with pride knowing you. Love ya — way to risk and LOVE!!!

  • Yay! Go you!! What a brave and compassionate woman you are!! I’m so happy you’re doing this. Many prayers your way!!

  • Good for you Amy. I like the idea of risk-rejection, and look forward to seeing the good that results.

Yes…finally stalked down internet and am able to read your risky leap!! Amy…this gives me goosebumps! Can’t believe it…your joining the club! Congratulations!! Welcome to one awesome, grace-filled, amazing journey!!

  • Whoo hoo Amy that’s awesome my friend! So excited about this for you guys. Can’t wait to hear more about how this risk came to being – I have a feeling your girls were involved, yes? Need more information! Ha! Okay, sorry, I’ll be patient. We took MAPP classes but got kicked out. Long story – I was working for DFCS at the time and it was considered a conflict of interest since I worked there but we didn’t know that until week 10 of 12. Lovely. My hubs gave up Monday night football for 10 weeks commitment but it was good stuff for us. God had another plan for us. So excited for ya’ll.

  • Bless you, Amy! I am praying for you even as I type this — and praying that you have friends who will commit to being physical hands of help to your family. You will need it for some of the “everyday” chores so you can invest in the needs of the children in your life. BTW, it’s okay to ask for help if they don’t offer. You do not have to be super-human and “awesome” all the time!

  • I seriously could not be more excited for you guys. Your family is perfect for this. Can’t wait to hear more. Love you! (Things are crazy around here as you know, but I’m still going to try to participate at some point. Don’t count me out yet!)

  • I love reading about your new (and a bit scary) adventure. What a blessing your family will be. I wanted to participate in your link-up but didn’t quite get myself together…

  • Such a beautiful idea! I have found myself taking lots of risks lately. Putting myself out there and hoping for the best. Knowing you’re not alone in doing so or experiencing the feelings of risking is a great thing. Community rocks!

  • Amy, I’m sorry I’m so late to the party. I’ve been participating; I just haven’t blogged about it, yet. I love you, Girl, and I believe in you and don’t anticipate ever rejecting this here space. 😉
