Sunday Snapshots

If you can't find me, it's because I've moved to this children's garden.

Feel free to visit if you want me to school you in a game of checkers.

Or watch giant goldfish.

Quick, put on an apron and give the house a sweep.

Or learn a few things in the alphabet garden. Hello, do you know Lamb's Ear actually feels like a lamb's ear? What smarty came up with that?

Dear Elwood, Illinois,

Sorry oil refineries and the Chicago Speedway box you in, but you sure do know how to grow a good children's garden.

I love it when communities encourage community. Yep, sure do.
Where have you noticed community in your world?
 : :

Have you embraced the sure factor?

Oh, I want a little garden like that in my back yard. Not sure it could handle the ten fast feet that smash my grass, but I would sit there and sweep out that cute little house and enjoy that soft lamb's ear :)
I'll have to remember this when we drive through Illinois to see my family in Michigan-- who knows, maybe it's on our way!

I so love that place. It's a little bit of unexpected and much needed magic in a very dark place. Hope you're having fun! Love you :)

i love that place! since i don't live in a neighborhood, i have to seek out community. well, we belong to a community pool about 15 minutes from home, where my younger boy gets to experience the community of wiffleball with a pack of boys. while i ecperience the community of reading/book discussion with women i never see any other time of the year. so. yeah. i see community. i PAY for it, but whatever.

What are you doing in IL? That looks fantastic, by the way. I'm moving in too. Grab me an apron.
