Hmmm.
"Did he tell you that?"
"Yep, he told me last Thursday."
Oh.
"His mom, Mary, said he could."

"His mom, Mary, said he could."
Sure.
"Babe, He's really busy. Will you be disappointed if He doesn't actually show up for cake?"
"Moooom (long drawn out whiney voice), it's Jesus. He'll come."

Also, did you know you can vote for the Almost-Sleepover to win the Make a Difference Day Award every day? It is easy, peasy. Just go here. Check the box that says you are over 13. Then, cast your vote for the Almost-Sleepover founders. It will say, Guilford, CT: Tween sisters' pajama parties for charity. Just click that box, and you are finished. Right now, we are being pounded by frat boys.
Happy weekend, friends.

That's precious! He'll show up...He is true to His word!
Duh! It's Jesus, momma. He WILL be there! Don't you wish we had that kind of faith and trust to simply just know that He WILL show up? So sweet.
PRECIOUS!!!!
my son asked me a few years back at christmas time if the reason Jesus didn't "show-up, show-up" to his birthday party we throw is because we forgot balloons. {we now have one every christmas morning} :) love it!!
i LOVE this picture of you two.....ru ru all decked out in super hero gear and you, her beautiful mama, truly taking delight and joy in her! perfection.
(and i gotta side w/ru on this one......jesus was at her party! can't have those delicious kind of cupcakes w/o a heavenly presence around! hee hee!.......of course he might not have been present when the nazi playlodge lady was being super bossy!)
My heart skipped a beat at your wise little one's words, "it's Jesus he'll come." Always!
I love the pure innocence and child-like faith... oh, to have such knowing... and to rest assured in the goodness of God... May your baby always possess that...
A beautiful word for me to remember today!! Thank you-always out of the mouth of babes, yes? Of course He will come...
You described the word delight so beautifully in this simple conversation with your daughter. Love it! I wrote about mine today too. And I voted - hope you win.

Love that Amy, sweet wisdom and truth!
Just beautiful! Yes, absolutely, He'll come! Love this. Thank you.
So sweet! It's funny how often these little bitty versions of us have so much teach us and that it's not always the other way around.
Sounds like you have a real prophet there!
I bet she is right!
