Musicians and ordinary people create music at The Music Box by using creaking boards, clanging metal, humming lights, and even an amped-up rocking chair. The result of these odd sounds is an unimaginable orchestra.
Jazz musicians, rock drummers, and even rappers, come to contribute their sound to the beautiful noise.
I love the idea behind The Music Box because when people come together carrying stories, making music, and revealing bits of truth, love rings out.
I’ve gathered some friends.
And we are preparing to make a little music of our own. Oh, not the crank it up and dance around your living room kind of music, but the music that comes from passionate people pulling together.
What will we share? Love letters.
Mushy, gushy, make your heart race, love letters. Not the kind of love letters that come folded on lined paper and pass through sweaty hands before finally arriving on your secret crush’s desk.
Nope.
We penned letters to people in need of a extra love.
Who knows, some of our letters may even be written to you.
Questions for you: Do you know any of the fab faces pictured above? Can you think of a group of people in need of some extra encouragement?

So cool! I'm super excited about this, and I recognize some of those lovely faces :) And, I can't wait to meet the others. What a wonderful idea. Of course, I immediately thought of victims of any form of abuse, but there are so many people that could use encouragement. Can't wait to see how this turns out.
What a special way to shelter! Hearing about made me smile clear down to my heart. I think the elderly need some extra love.
Lor,
Victims of abuse? Hmmm. Check.
Pamela,
The elderly? Agreed. They do need extra love.
i'm trying to be other-focused, amy, but right now, right here today. . . all that's on my mind is those of us with kids that have some special challenges. and some days i crave so hard the encouragement i need to make it just. through. the. day.
i promise, i'll try to think of someone beyond myself and check back in later!

It is so nice to "meet" you! Thank you for your sweet comment on my blog. I look forward to following your blog.
Blessings,
Amy
Wihle this might sound self-absorbed (I am working on that, you read my post), pastors & their kids (know anything about that????), ministry volunteers could use encouragement (ok maybe not more than abuse victims or the elderly). I think of youth workers and Sunday School teachers that week in and week out volunteer to try and teach youth/kids about the hugeness of God's love for them. It does matter and it does make a difference.
Love you!
I'm recognizing some ;)
Excited to learn more!
Can you think of a group of people that does NOT need extra encouragement?
Excited to see what you will do!
What a sweet idea. I'd add to the list kids waiting in foster care for families to take them home.

Cool! I recognize a lot of these faces and can't wait to see (or read) what you fabulous ladies come up with.
What a wonderful idea! And lots of great ideas. Those in hospital for long term come to mind as well as foster parents. Can't wait to see what comes from this.
Soldiers - away from family, in trying circumstances, many new in their faith, many who don't know the Father - but soooo need him. I love that idea!
Soldiers? Check!
Parents loving kids that come from far away places? Check.
Those in the hospital...hmmm, sort of check.
You guys are going to love this!
Woo hoo!!!! Love being a part of this, Amy.
I can't tell you what a thrill, or how humbling it is to see my picture up there. I'm SO excited about this project...and I can.not.wait to read everyone's letters.
Excellent. I am thinking of so many groups...can't wait to see what kind of sweet music you girls create.
