Maybe You Could Catch Something

I teach high school darlings, and I start back to school on dum, dum, dum, dum...Wednesday, as in this coming Wednesday, as in August the 3rd.

As I savor the weekend before I report back to real-life, I also leap to capture last minute, summer moments. Maybe you could do the same.

Maybe you could catch a fish.

Or catch a view.

Or catch some waves.

Or catch a sugar-induced coma.

Regardless of what you catch, I hope you spend time enjoying the end of July because the dreaded school supply list will demand your attention soon.

What about you? Are you dreading "the S-word" or looking forward to it?

: :

Thanks for the pics, Sista Sara.

Glad you are enjoying each moment. Even though it has been years since I was in the classroom . . . I still dream it is the first day of school and I forgot to prepare my classroom for the start of school. :-)

Fondly,

Glenda

Wow. School starts early there. We homeschool so I look forward to a regular schedule again, even though I'll miss the lazy days of swimming, playing and generally doing nothing. We won't start until the end of August after our beach vacation, so we have a little more time left.

I have one week longer than you. Love your photos and memories from summer! Yes...I'm dreading and looking forward. My kids will be at three different schools this year. The structure of the new routine is both promising and a little daunting.

Are you going for a new semester or new school year? Over here, the school year is generally divided into two terms running from the 1st week of January to late November.

School routine is always demanding and daunting. I dreaded the thought of going to school after a long break. Nonetheless, staying at home for more than 7 weeks could be tiresome too.

I've loved summer this year. But I am a routine kind of girl, so I look forward to the kiddos going back to school and our routine starting back up. (Keep in mind that I work 9-5 during the summer, anyways. . .)

Love you sweet friend. Hope your last weekend is filled to the brim with beautiful memories. . .

Amy,
Get a new lunchbox.
That always made me excited for the first day of school! I think there's magic happy dust in them.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE second grade. I should'be stayed 8 years old.
Now, where is my Holly Hobbie lunch box....

I teach a LOT of elementary kids (like, 350+) so the first thing I thought when I read your title was: "the flu". Ha ha! Terrible! Our school starts on the 15th, but the schedule packed with professional development 'til then, so LET THE GAMES BEGIN! :)

Though I am going to attempt to squeeze a little art in...I need a hall pass for my classroom, and it CANNOT be boring. :)

I didn't know you were a school teacher! I'm gonna refer to you as Mrs. Sullivan from now on. Have a nice weekend, Mrs. Sullivan.

T,
I teach EC which is NC's PC term for Special Ed. Yes, summer went waaay too fast.

Do you like how I stole your "s-word" thing? Nice work. That made me giggle.

Fun! Enjoy your last batch of catches! I'm dreading, always dreading, because I know on the other side of the school year waits for me a boy so much older than the one sitting beside me today. Of course, on the other hand, I love the structure of the school year and all the change of the seasons of life.

I'm kind of sad that summer is ending :( But, we'll get back in the swing of things as always, and it will all be good. Can I just say that I love your girls. They are so special in their own little ways. I'm thankful that Amelia is such a sweet friend to Abigail, and Ruby is to Dinosaur, lol.

i'm excited. . . my kids get that "oh, no" look when they see me heading into the school supply aisle. i could just look and smell. . .
we homeschool, so our schedule is a bit more flexible, but our plan is to start mid to late August.

That is so soon to be going back to school. My daughter starts back at the end of the month. I feel like we have been lazy all summer.

Great pictures.
