In the days to come, when your heart feels undone, may you always find an open hand. Deb Talan
Let’s pray for each other today.
Not the obligatory two sentence request, or the kind of prayer that smarty, Brother Lawrence, called “petty, everyday, and mechanical”, but real prayer.
Prayer that flows like a conversation with your best friend.
Prayer that rocks your small, but growing world.
Prayer that cultivates praise and comfort.
And our hope for you is firm, because we know that just as you share in our sufferings, so also you share in our comfort. 2 Corinthians 1:7.
Me first: Please pray my courage outweighs my fear.

I don't know if you are a competitive soul like me, but sometimes when I'm in a situation where I'm battling fear, I look at it like this:
Me vs. Fear
I don't like to lose. And, I happen to know that God, the ultimate Victor, is on my side. It makes fear look really petty. Sometimes it sends him packin...
You can pray that I survive this week and VBS in general...
Hey Amy,
Praying that you'll remember that perfect love casts out fear. May you rest in His love and may His Spirit grant you courage. Remember greater is He who is in YOU than he that is in the world.
You can pray that I would seek the Lord first, above all else. There's so much that fights for our attention, isn't there?
Thanks for this post.
Hi Amy,
First of all, thank you for your sweet comment over at my blog.
I LOVE this post, and not just because I'm writing a book on prayer. I think prayer needs to be real and that the blogosphere is the perfect place to do it.
Father, I ask you to give Amy a strong, bold and courageous heart. May she never allow her decisions to be influenced by fear, but instead, be compelled by Your Holy Spirit. Fill and flood her with Your love, which never fails. In Jesus name, Amen.
I would greatly appreciate prayer as I continue working on my book...specifically that the ideas and words will flow. Thank you!
{Sweet blessings!}
Praying for your courage, Amy. If you could pray that my wounded heart might be bound up in Christ, thank you.
May love fall on you like a sweet, soft blanket - overpowering the fear that threatens you. May you know deep within that God IS your courage and that with God and in God and through God, all things are possible. AMEN. Yes. Yes. Yes.
Pray for wisdom and discernment and openness for me as I find my way to whatever it is God has for me in this next, last phase of my life!

Ah LORD GOD, You have made Heaven and earth by Your Great Power and nothing is too difficult for You! Praise You that
in weakness You will be Strength,
in moments of fear You will be Courage,
in the wounded heart You will be Healer,
in confusion You will be Wisdom and Truth,
in a world that pulls our focus away, You will be our All in all...
that all we are, all we do, will be of You and for You, in The Strong and Mighty Name of JESUS...amen and amen
Ephesians 4:6-7....praying the peace of God guards your heart and mind.
Praying for courage for you, friend. Beautiful post. Pray for patience to wait on HIS timing for me. I alwasy struggle with this.
Father, will you come and take this fear from Amy. Please replace it with your love and truth: greater is the One who is in her, than the one who is in the world. Thank you that you are for us, always. Amen~
Papa,
Thank You that You have not given Amy a spirit of fear, but a spirit of power, love and sound mind. Thank You that she rests firmly in Your lap, nestled in Your arms. Thank You that she is holding Your hand as You lead her into whatever places may cause her heart to skip a beat. You lead. She follows.
Amen.
Please pray for our family and finances. We need a miracle. Thanks.
Thank you Amy...yes, I will pray for you and for everyone that needs comforting today.
Father, You have filled us with Your Word and Your love. Amy is Your daughter Father and she needs You today! Be there Lord, like I know You always are.

I've never prayed in the blogosphere before... Hummm....
It takes courage just to get up in the morning sometimes... Blessings on the seed of courage that is in you. He is faithful to bring it to fruition.
I need encouragement as I try to find my "place" as a Christian artist, especially in the blogosphere...
Thanks again for the succinct, focused post.
I try to never pass up an opportunity to have someone pray for me because I know I need the help. And in return for your kindess, I am praying for you as well.
Pray that I find direction and clarity during a time of uncertaintly and chaos.
Blessings you to Amy!
I pray for people via text message sometimes so...why not?
"Dear Lord, Would you give Amy the grace to fix her eyes on Jesus and not on those things that cause her fear. Would you grant her faith to believe that she can stare real danger in the face because You are more powerful."
And for me--grace to believe the same things, especially regarding my son and his future. Thanks muchly.
Hi Deb, thank you for your kind comment on my blog today.
Dear Heavenly Father, I pray you would give Deb your grace to know more firmly and securely who she is IN CHRIST JESUS her Lord and Savior so that His perfect love casts our all fear. Thanks God. Amen.
I'm leaving for a Dunamis Conference at the Community of the Cross in Black Mountain tomorrow. It's on the "Healing Power of Jesus". Please pray for a safe trip and a blessed conference for me and the others. Pray for healing for all of us too.
Thanks, Barb
Amy - I just prayed for you and am thankful for you in my blogging life. I pray that your courage overwhelms your fear. Please pray for me to be able to see and follow God's will in my life. Thank you, Courtney
Praying for you today, Amy, that you would hear the voice of truth, the one that says again and again in scripture, "Do not be afraid." The voice that belongs to the Maker, the one who, working in you, makes you bigger and stronger than it - whatever it is. Love you!
Thank you for inviting me to pray for you; that is truly a gift.
For me....pray that the rain comes soon.
How amazing to come home, log-in, and see all of your wonderful words of encouragement. Thanks to all for sharing your needs and being vulnerable.
To each of you above, I've often wondered if true community can take place through the blogosphere. Challenging each other? Yes. Sharing heavy stuff? Yes. Having fun? Sure. But real community? I'm starting to believe yes.
It is amazing. I've always been socially challenged and since I started blogging, I've spent more time in community ever! Wow, who'da thunk it!
I'll pray for you, Amy. I really appreciate your post; for the first time in my life, I'm starting to get more comfortable with prayer. I've never been very good at it, and I'm still trying to pray more naturally (contradictory though there, I know). Anyway, I will pray!
And I'd appreciate any prayers for me and my parenting. My kids are very close together--5, 3-1/2, and 2--and I struggle most days.
Thank you for this offer to pray!
What a fantastic post. And I have often wondered if true community can happy in the blogosphere as well. I honestly think this is a great start!
Father, in your grace, please give Amy strength, give her boldness and remind her that Your Spirit in her is greater than the one who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
Please pray that I will model patience and lovingkindness to my small kids.
Oh! we were in sync...today is the Worldwide Day of Prayer for Campus Crusade, who we work for, and we were praying all morning...
I was tearing up a lot as the focus was on countries where staff have been beaten, families killed...stuff i didn't know...Japan aftermath...
I prayed so hard for them and yet in praying for them and entering their reality, I was changed! 'Count it all joy when you face trials of any kind'...good 'ole Peter says that...wow! So I prefer the wow prayer and perspective shifting intercession that just makes the Enemy disintegrate...
anyhow, love that you focused on prayer today!
I will pray for those on this blog post. I ask that you pray for me as I learn to wait on the LORD to bring my prodigal daughter back. I not only hurt because she is estranged from us for two years, but most of all that she left her LORD that she once has such a passion for. I believe, He is teaching me to TRUST more, and the waiting is so painful.
Pray please that I will become the useful vessel that He wants me to become. For as Joseph expressed to his brothers that God had used the trial in his life for good; I want to say that God took this painful trial in our family lives and used it for good too!
(Isaiah 55:11) Prayer is heard and is answered! Thank you so much.
Amy, praying for your courage. Will you pray for mine, friend? Bless you!
Praying that you lean on Him and trust Him enough not to fear. Pray for me that I learn to trust and lean on Him through the Trials we are facing and that I trust on His promises.
Praying that God goes before you and blazes a trail for you to walk safely through. Well lit and safe.
Honestly, I struggle with asking for prayer, but He knows, i need it! Fear is taking over my days, but it is overshadowed with denial. So I in turn just walk around in a state of emptiness inside my walls... not letting that fear be named or it may crumble those walls. and me.
Thank you for praying dear friend. This is a wonderful, wonderful thing.
Just so you know, the past couple of posts have spoken directly to my soul. Thank you for your gift of hope!
oh, Amy-girl, how did you know? Needing some prayer tonight. On my face for you, sweet friend. Storming the heavens.
Prayers for courage for you, friend. I am also praying for those that have lost so much in the storms. Help me pray for them, too. Love you :)
You, dear friend, are one of the MOST AMAZING people I have EVER met! (you ARE the mother to my daughter's BFF and RuRu!) You are "all that" AND an entire turtle cheesecake!! And yet, you, who I see as a strong, beautiful,BRAVE, true disciple of Jesus, humbly ask for prayers of courage...
YOU can do ALL things through Christ Who strengths you! Philippians 4:13 I always include your friendship in my nightly prayers as one of my special blessings. I love you.
Heavenly Father, Please pour out your love and grace on my girlfriend Amy. Empower her with Your truth so that she remembers to trust only in You. Because she is Your daughter, she is never alone. I know You want her to leave her fears at Your feet- Please take them from her. I know You will, for that is how much You, her Father, love her! Thank You for loving me too! In Your beautiful name I pray. Amen
